I am starting this petition to promote the interest of democracy. Leaders should be legitimately selected based on a tally of majority of votes from the people, without discrimination to age, sex, religion, or race. I personally have been affected by the coercive nature of power and I stand up for our nation's values over my personal interest! I have proved myself time and time again that I will not succumb to temptation or venture gains that are immoral. I will always do the "right thing," even if it is not the popular road. Although difficult, I know the popular road is not the easiest, but will have the most reward in the end. I understand the polar effects of popularity and discrimination, and both are equally harmful.
