Every day illegal websites use stolen images and aggressive advertising to deceive the American people into believing they are purchasing authentic merchandise, when in reality they receive a poorly made knockoff. These overseas websites steal intellectual property from US businesses to sell millions of dollars of counterfeit goods to US consumers.
The current enforcement of existing laws and regulations do little to provide a viable solution to stop the growing consumer fraud.
These trade cheats create unfair competition to legitimate US companies, posing a direct threat to the survival of hardworking American businesses and our nation's economy.
