Tuesday, Nov 27, 2012 the military's highest court listened to a controversial case involving questions about whether commanders should have authority to court-martial troops who try to commit suicide.
The Pentagon is currently reviewing the laws related to prosecuting attempted suicide.
Those with mental illness do NOT deserve to be punished for attempted suicide. Instead, they need better health care and treatment options.
We request that the Obama administration address this issue and make it of utmost importance to address the mental health issues of our military men and women.
