In the age of equal rights for all men and women there is still a glaring misuse of judicial power that is forcing men to lose their kids childhoods.
It is well known that the standard practice for child custody decisions as a result of divorce is an 80%/20% split in favor of women. This is unarguably discriminatory toward men and disgustingly accepted and practiced in case after case.
Creating a child requires 50/50 participation and so should the raising of children after divorce.
I request that the Obama administration put an end to these discriminatory practices and set a new standard for child custody which by default extends equal custody rights to both parents unless one parent agrees to less or if there are significant factors which degrade one's ability to care for their kids.
