As you can see in this press release, http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml12/12234.html, on Wednesday, July 25th the Consumer Product Safety Commission banned the sale of Buckyballs in the US.
Buckyballs are a set of small, high-power magnets, and the best fidgety desk toy ever made. They are for adults, and everyone I know who owns them are adults.
There have been a few rare cases of complications after swallowing, but the solution is simple: do not eat Buckyballs. There is no reason to ban an entire product, ruining the fun of potentially millions of adults, because of a few accidental ingestions.
