Daylight Savings Time is no longer saving us fuel. If anything, it is making people use more fuel. It takes several months or more for some people to adjust to the change in time, sometimes longer. By the time one's body and mind adjusts, the time is being changed again. Changes of this nature effect the heart and body. Studies have shown that people have more automobile accidents each time the Daylight Savings Time begins, due to sleep deprivation. Sleeping patterns are severely thrown off each time we have a sudden change in our time. According to www.standardtime.com, "there is no denying that changing our clocks has a significant cost in human lives."
