There is a war against individuals with Chronic Pain. The opioids used to treat legitimate chronic pain patients have become a major issue in the US because of overdose deaths. Chronic pain patients use the opioids for pain control for a better life not for euphoric purposes. CDC has suggested doctors treat with anything but opioids while DEA is going after the doctors that use them for chronic pain patients. Chronic Pain Patients are being discriminated against and treated like the abusers. This has to stop as much as the overdose deaths. Chronic pain is as much a disease as the abuse is for completely different reasons! Taking away adequate doses of opioids or completely away from chronic pain patients is discrimination and inhumane as well as degrading to patients in chronic pain!
