It's appalling to hear that the US Government will not grant Citizenship to American Samoans and is defending this stance by levering a century old law written in a time of extreme prejudice and racism. We as Americans are better than this. We should reconsider the "Alien Race" argument and work with Congress to end this racial discrimination. Furthermore, we should work to allow congressional representation for all American Territories as well as the fundamental right to vote.
