We the people ask that steps be taken to decrease the rapidly increasing federal debt. Our astronomical federal debt has already resulted in negative consequences, such as the downgrade of the federal government's credit rating. Unfortunately, things can only get worse from here. Both parties must work together to solve this problem, and President Obama must lead the way. We must stop the bleeding before we reach a breaking point and cannot rectify our mistakes.
