On July 20th National Public Radio reported a story about the underwater Oceanic lab known as Aquarius.Sylvia Earle, the main scientist for Aquarius gave an interview from this amazing lab 60 feet under the ocean. She talked about all the amazing research they are doing and how dedicated this group of scientists, all the organizations like National Geographic,are to unlocking the secrets of underwater life. This lab is vital not only for our research in how we are reshaping the planet by polluting, ocean acidification, and global climate change.
The project is due to be defunded by Congress on Sept, 1st of this year. The project, lab, scientists, and all the amazing work they are doing will stop.
