Please make divorce agreements ENFORCEABLE by mandating consequences for noncompliance; Hold guardians ad litem & attorneys for children accountable for their actions & place caps placed on their fees; Please stop putting a dollar value on the time spent with our own children, it breeds conflict & creates a financial incentive to coerce children to prefer one parents’ home over the other. Update archaic child support laws, make shared parenting the norm (as long as both parents are fit). Please teach judges parental alienation is a crime of emotional child abuse, not a clever legal strategy for winning custody wars. Please provide parents the same rights criminals have. If forced to defend our own constitutional right to be a parent, and cannot afford an attorney, one should be provided.
