In December 2016, 1,600 acres of Waynes National Forest will be sold for the rights to minerals below the land. Oil pipelines &drill sites are legal &would likely be allowed when the land is purchased. The land which has been protected by our government for so long is now being sold for destruction under our very noses for profit and greed!
This September Earth passed the carbon tipping point of 400ppm. Which means that permanent climate change has begun & by the year 2100 25% of Earth's species will be extinct, with more to follow in the subsequent years.
Oil pipelines erupt often (hundreds of times in the last 16 years alone) and cause fires &water pollution.
We must turn away from coal, petroleum &oil to ensure livable conditions for the generations to come. We have other options
