In animal shelters across the nation, Pitbulls are the first to be killed, only given 4-5 days or less to live for someone to rescue or adopt them. ANY dog can be taught to be dangerous. Most, and I say most, in my experience with Pitbulls are very loving, gentle dogs. But, they have been given a bad rap by the Media and dog-fighting. They were once America's most celebrated dog! They babysitted children and babies. They are loyal and protective. My own is a very gentile dog and would not hurt a fly.
Breed Specific Legislation does not work and is also discrimination. Hating or banning a dog because of the way it looks. We have a genocide happening right here in America and it is shameful. Please stop the discrimination and banning of Pitbulls in the U.S.A.
