As it stands now People with criminal histories, Even ones decades old find it impossible to find a decent job. Sure they have made mistakes in the past but have served their time and tried to move on with their lives. But that is impossible if they can not even get a job. If they cant get a job what do they do. They have to either resort to crime or rely on government aid to Support them selves and in some instances their families. Instead of being productive members of Society they are now a Drain on The economy and no longer pay taxes.
The same problem Arises with Housing, A lot of Rental Agencies have no Felon policies and wont rent to people that have criminal histories. This leads into near permanent Homelessness. Something needs to be done.
This is outright Discrimination.
