I do not agree that widows with children are discriminated against by California Department of Health and Human services. Family need and tragedy is being blatantly ignored. You count their income double so you don't have to award the same amount of food stamps that you would to a family with an identical case except that the widow receives SSI instead of child support. Please help widows get treated fairly.
