My Spouse lost her job. I called EBIS to add our child and her to my Federal Health insurance. I was told child fine, spouse, mother of the child, is unable to qualify per the federal definition (http://www.opm.gov/healthcare-insurance/healthcare/reference-materials/r...) which discriminates based on marital status. The Federal definition is narrower than that used in the private sector and the accepted definition of a spouse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spouse)
