Stop the discrimination of infertile couples by insurance companies and employers

We hereby petition the President of the United States so stop the discrimination and denials of insurance companies upon men and women of infertile nature. Infertility has been documented through numerous federal and private organizations . According to the CDC, approximately 10% of women in the US have difficulty getting or staying pregnant. Approximately 90% of insurance providing companies deny coverage of infertility diagnosis and/or treatment. The American Society of Reproductive Medicine reports that the average cost for IVF is approximately $12,500, none of which is covered by many insurance companies.. According to an article in the Huffington Post, median income is $50,020. This measures to mean that approximately 25% of a household's income would be needed for one IVF.
