Our service men and women have sacrificed so much for this country in the past 10 years. Those currently on active duty, reserves, and national guard are feeling the pains of sequestration. Those in the military fully understand the need for cuts and supports those endeavors, but with leaders in DoD are cutting the Tuition Assistance program, service members will leave the service under-educated and not competitive in the civilian work force.
Saving this program from cuts will only help prevent rising numbers of veteran unemployment in coming years and will greatly aid in leader development in a leaner military that President Obama has envisioned.
The US Army and Marines TA programs has already been officially cut. There are many other areas the cuts can be applied, NOT OUR EDUCATION!
