For as long as people can remember Dowry death has been occuring in India. A dowry is something worth great value that the husbad requests on the day of marrige. If the bride fails to meet expectations of the in-laws the brides are tortured. The in-laws or husbads will douse the wife in kerosene and light them on fire. It is illegal in India for the in-laws or husbands to request a dowry, therefore we need to stop it. Think of all the innocent women that are burned to death everyday. Studies show that 17 bride burnings occur daily. This needs to be stopped.
