Electronic logs and speed limiters will not help anything. Late carriers have used them for years and they have the highest wreck numbers of anyone. This will drive the owner operators out of business, will directly cause inflation and cause accidents. Allow OOIDA to explain the stance and halt these new laws. The farmers and Americans are already struggling and this will surely drive the nail in the coffin. The cost of goods and the shortage of trucks this will cause is unjustified and the ATA along with the FMCSA taking these actions are not justified.
