Stop emergency medical professionals from discriminating people with disabilities! They are paid to help, not harm!

Created by T.B. on February 12, 2016

Abuse of patients in ambulances and hospitals are happening to people with disabilities so much, that there's a discriminatory title for people with disabilities who need ambulances more often than the average person. We are labelled as “frequent flyers”. There are patients who have PTSD due to the abuse produced by this discrimination, which makes their disabilities worse. Patients are not believed over staff, and progress has not been made enough. It begins with EMT’s being frustrated about individuals with disabilities ‘crying wolf’ (calling 911 over a hundred times in one day), then the EMT’s apply that frustration to others who have similar medical symptoms as those callers. Most common are asthmatics, addicts, and epileptics. Our lives depend on these staff, so we must act now!
