Stop employers from abusing the use of background checks on job seekers. Yes businesses have a right to protect themselves but not at the expense of someone's imperfect life. Not everyone has a fico score of 720 and not everyone has a clean criminal history. The poor communities across the nation are the ones who suffer the most because of this type of discrimination, and then society wonders why crime rates are up and people are on welfare. If one cannot obtain gainful employment no matter how hard they try how are they supposed to survive? Make it mandatory for employers to utilize the federal bonding programs for ex offenders. Stop the use of fico scores in employment screenings. One's personal financial life is not a potential employer's business. People do deserve a chance!
