The Department of Justice has ruled that a violation of the terms of service for internet access is illegal under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1984 in the case of Aaron Swartz. Anyone who violates this act can face up to 35 years in prison and in every Email and social web site is it a violation of the terms of service to hand over passwords to anyone else, but employers are now requiring job applicants to do just that.
Please have the DOJ rule that employers that ask for social web site and email passwords are breaking the law and can receive up to 35 years in prison for breaking the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
