Discrimination from employers against nonviolent ex-offenders should not be tolerated. People who commit nonviolent crimes and have not re-offended within three years should have the opportunity to obtain employment based on an individual's skill set alone. Many ex-offenders are being hired for jobs based on skills and then are usually terminated because of past mistakes. There is a possibility of an ex-offender re-offending when employment opportunities are hindered. Employers should not be allowed to terminate an employee who has minor nonviolent criminal charges because it has nothing to do with an individual's ability to perform job related duties.Credit checks should not be allowed because credit history has nothing to do with individual skills, and it violates an individual's privacy
