Here in Memphis, working spouses are being kicked off of our "family plan" insurance with no discounts to the premium. Retirees are seeing their subsidy cut and are being forced to pay 100% of their up to $1600 premium on a pension. They are using the "Affordable Care Act" to force those of us who are working or have already worked into poverty or in financial distress.
When this health care was enacted we were promised we could keep the healthcare we had if we chose to do so. Actually, that is far from the truth. It is fine you want to have "Affordable Healthcare" just don't do it at the expense of working families. This may not have been the intention, but it is what is happening.
I ask that you stop the practice of forcing people off of family plans and eliminating retirees.
