Getting a job today for those of us who made mistakes in their youth with credit cards and auto loans is tough. Employers now check credit reports to make hiring decisions based on credit reports. So bad credit equals bad employee? When I fail a pre-employment urine test because I smoked marijuana 2 1/2 weeks ago but a guy who gets drunk everyday off of beer or liquor and considered a severe alcoholic can work anywhere he pleases is just hypocritical and wrong. Credit reports and urinalysis' hinder a large portion of the population who try everyday to find a job but are turned away by unfair hiring methods.
