The National Defense Authorization Act, the PATRIOT Act, and all related legislation which seeks to circumvent the Constitution, suspend habeas corpus, promote unlawful domestic surveillance, and take power away from law abiding citizens must be struck down by either an open election or executive order. Stripping Americans of their right to speedy and fair trials, protection against search and seizure (and warrantless wiretapping), is leading us into a police state.
The Constitution is the law of the land. Circumventing it by using national security as an excuse does not give total executive cart blanche to the President. If these unconstitutional, anti-American acts are not struck down soon, people will revolt en masse.
