We the people are so busy arguing with one another, we have not noticed that we are allowing the government to dictate our lives how they say fit. Are we not a free people? Should we not have a say on how we, as a nation, are governed? This petition is to get that started. We keep hearing this goverment preach one day on how great a nation we are, then the next scream about how much debt we are in. they propose this and that to help, and then decide on nothing. Why? because we are allowing them to.
With 757,969 individuals incarcerated for marijuana abuse, at $21,006 a pop, that is $15,921,896,814 to keep these individuals imprisoned for one year. At this rate, over the course of 36.8 months, $44,765,690,442 would have to be coughed up by the American taxpayer... is pot worth that much?
