Planned permits to allow the dumping of unlimited fracking waste into the Gulf of Mexico and elsewhere assume that the dilution of known toxic chemicals into our oceans will have negligible repercussions on wildlife as well as fisheries that supply food to our tables.
This short-sighted plan endangers both human health and the ecosystems we depend on, in a time when there is a glut of oil on the market. The status quo secures profits for big oil. Jobs can just as easily be created through less destructive means, there is no reversing the damage once done.
The EPA is asleep at the wheel, send them a message that though we may be relegated to the back seat, the American People have every right to intervene if we're in the car with them! The practice cannot continue unchallenged!
