The goal for our petition to limit the amount of phosphorous runoff entering our natural lakes. This issue is creating a hazard for large cities, as well as small towns who rely on lakes for their water intake. There have been many cases of the lakes that have excess amounts of phosphorous causing health problems and can even be transmitted by airborne illnesses from the water. We are approaching a natural resource crisis and the limited amounts of water are rapidly depleting.
