stop expending taxpayer dollars on self-portraits of government officials.

Created by W.G. on March 05, 2013

The Washington Times reported that excessive sums are being paid for self-portraits of outgoing governmental officials. Most recently, $38,350 was paid for a portrait of outgoing EPA administrator Lisa Jackson and $41,200 was spent for a portrait of Air Force Secretary Michael Donnelly.

These are two specific examples of many. We are borrowing money because we can't pay our bills and this is an unnecessary expense that we can no longer afford. This petition requests that you stop using our taxpayer money on these portraits.
