State Farm took $600 from the bank account of a struggling family. A month later, the money still hasn't been refunded. State Farm is going to get away with this. This family doesn't have the resources to sue them, doesn't have the patience to press for an investigation into their actions; they're barely getting by. I believe that State Farm will ultimately refund the money, but the damage has been done. Not having such a substantial amount of money for months is very painful, particularly leading up to the holiday season.
Please change the regulation that allows companies to take money out of bank accounts with impunity. State Farm needs to be held accountable, as well as everyone else who has done this. Americans deserve due process before money is taken from them without consent.
