I urge you to take action against social media website Facebook’s proposal to change its privacy policy that allows them to:
“Give us permission to use your name, and profile picture, content, and information in connection with commercial, sponsored, or related content (such as a brand you like) served or enhanced by us..."
I allege that Facebook is using its large user base to make a profit at the expense of their user’s private information. Due to Facebook’s platform of providing this communication medium and taking on said responsibility, it is now Facebook’s responsibility to handle their user’s information appropriately because their users have entrusted them with private information. Any violations of that should be punished severely and to the fullest extent of the law.
