TPP calls for expansion of economic trade which is neither fair nor free. Proceedings are being conducted secretly with no media exposure. Organized labor, indigenous peoples, environmentalists and other players are NOT represented. The Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution is being circumvented and usurped. Under TPP, sovereign governments lose out to monopoly corporate capital and acquisitive greed.
TPP makes it easier to offshore jobs; depletes citizens’ rights to sue corporations; impedes the public’s access to the Internet; makes unavailable generic drugs; weakens food safety standards; and expands the powers of the Wall Street interests.
President Obama, please place the interests of the American public before corporate power and halt the “fast tracking" of TPP.
