Stop the FCC from allowing major cable companies to remove access to non-encrypted channels.

The FCC has allowed cable companies to encrypt basic cable again. This means that those who use a digital tuner (like TiVo or a Hauppauge device) can no longer access digital channels freely after the 1994 decision to require the cable industry to broadcast basic channels without a set top box. Companies like Comcast have since been able to reinstate their set-top-box policy. I am ok with the fact that they want to protect their content. I am not ok with the fact that they (Comcast) will not offer me a solution such as a digital set top box (no analog and without paying for it), a cable card, or software to decrypt the cable signal from my tuner device even after they had been given specific instruction not to. Stop these ruthless companies from extracting our hard earned money.
