In 2007, the FCC tried to allow more media consolidation. The public rejected it in hearings and the Senate rejected it also.
We need independent, diverse media, unlimited by the interests of large corporations.

IT WAS A BAD IDEA THEN; IT'S A BAD IDEA TODAY!

In 1983, 50 corporations controlled a majority of American media. Now, there are six.

Women and minorities already own very little of the media. This will make it worse!
