Consumers deserve to have clear information about what is in their food in order to make informed decisions about their own health and safety. Docket No. FDA-2009-P-0147 would alter the legal definition of milk and other dairy products so that they could include aspartame and other artificial ingredients without any labeling. This misleads the public and could have serious health effects on people with food allergies and sensitivities. Further, the safety of many of the sweeteners is still being debated, with studies indicating that aspartame is a likely carcinogen. Reject this change and demand to know what is in the food you and your family consume.
