The FDA is attacking one innovative company on behalf of the established ones.
Hampton Creek developed a better recipe using plants, not eggs, and created a product called Just Mayo.
Rather than demanding they add eggs or change the name of the product, the FDA should update its own definitions to reflect modern realities and improved nutrition.
Just Mayo looks, tastes, and performs exactly the same as historic mayonnaise recipes, so keeping the name would actually be a consumer benefit.
I hope the FDA truly wants to foster the innovation clearly stated in its mission. Please drop the actions against Hampton Creek.
This is a food company that aligns with my values and demonstrates perfectly the American spirit of innovation. Don’t let the FDA stifle them at the request of big business
