Created by K.M. on January 29, 2013

The Harrison Narcotics Act scheduled narcotics according to their levels of likely dependency to the drug. On Friday, the FDA subcommittee voted 19-10 to change and recommend that LORTAB, NORCO, VICIDIN, And other Hydrocodone containing product. I have adhesive arachnoiditis, a rare disorder as described by the National Institute of Health, less than 200,000 Americans suffer this disorder. I take NORCO and the government is invading my physicians right to determine the best care at the best convenience. This action by the FDA will only classify these drugs on the same level as Morphine and OxyContin, far less addictive than NORCO. I am also a firefighter injured in the line of duty, there is no decency in telling patients that more costs are required now to be prescribed my medication.
