Federal dollars are funneled to sanctuary cities which are breaking the law by not deporting illegal immigrants including those that have criminal records. The recent murder of Kate Steinle by a convicted illegal immigrant who was deported 5 times and came back has brought this to the forefront. If the government creates policies, states need to enforce those policies. Sanctuary cities only enforce bad behavior because these criminals have a safe haven to return.
