The United States Federal government has current plans to deliver 200 M1A1 Abrams battle tanks, and a squadron of F-16 fighters. This will bump Egypt up to 1,200 tanks, the 7th largest tank army in the world, and 240 F-16s. Egypt already has the world 10th largest military, and the United States continues to fund it with 1.3 Billion in stipends for military growth per year. When America has such a staggering deficit, we should not be spending billions yearly to arm a country that is already showing signs of becoming an unstable dictatorship.
