For years the federal government has in effect subsidized the NFL by listing the organization as a non-profit. Similar leagues such as MLB, NBA, and NHL are not considered non-profit and should not be. In light of recent domestic violence cases we can see that the NFL has no interest in public welfare that would normally be required and is only interested in defending its' shield and the profits of its' owners.
We ask Congress to sign a bill removing the preferential status the NFL has been given.
