The Bill of Rights guaratees : Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. As long as drug use only harms the user, then what right does the Federal Government have in deciding what is or is not harmful? As the way it decides about alcohol and tobacco? The War on Drugs is a war on the citizens of this country and those who benefit are either criminal organizations, law enforcement, and private prisons. Just to name the obvious.
This so called 'war' is only a war to disenfranchize minorities, and the poor. Statuatory Law now supersedes Constitutional Law in the court system. Slowly but surely taking away the rights that our grandparents and parents once thought were sacrosanct.
