With the executive order signed right before Sandy hit (establishing a partnership with private corporations and local governments in the war on terror), it seems clear that the Obama administration has a problem trusting the Citizens of the United States. With this and the NDAA, Patriot Act and other legislation, the government is clearly suspicious of its own citizens. How we are expected to trust an Administration that does not trust its constituency is beyond me and, I would argue, most citizens. There are no clear regulations in much of this legislation to prevent natural, non-violent citizens from being the target of government abuse, and continuously drafting more laws to invade our privacy and share our information with those we haven't given consent to will not solve terrorism.
