Stop F.M.C.S.A. from ever placing sleep apnea testing on commercial drivers

Created by R.H. on January 28, 2015

The F.M.C.S.A. or any other government agency should never be allowed to include sleep study testing or any other form of testing for sleep apnea. There's no justification for saying that a driver is at a high risk for accidents when drivers are overweight or show other factors of OSA when there's drivers with 10+ years of safe accident free driving then all of a sudden a medical examiner can make the call their unsafe. There's no way to keep sleep labs honest when it comes to huge profits. Fatigue can come from a number of other things. A driver should be responsible enough to pull over when tired and go receive studies and equipment to help him/her sleep without government laws making it the same treatment for everyone. This will also increase unemployment and could shut companies down.
