More than a decade since the 9/11 attacks, Americans are STILL being forced to endure the indignity of removing their shoes -- and often their socks -- at airports and made to stand on filthy airport floors. This forces us to continue our travels with the knowledge that our feet and socks are filthy within our shoes, not to mention being forced to view our fellow citizens' feet.
In addition, we've borne the cost of socks too filthy or torn to be worn again -- an unfunded mandate on all Americans.
Therefore, we the people hereby petition the President of the United States to sign an Executive Order directing the Transportation Security Administration to FINALLY come up with a solution that allows us to stand on clean, easily refreshed flooring or some other surfaces in our airports.
