The public may not know this... but the FEDS have made a sweetheart deal with the makers of the CPAP devices and doctors that forces truck drivers that snore... to submit to a sleep study to see if there are signs of sleep apnea....would you believe that 99% of the drivers that submit or lose their CDL license.... suddenly are unhealthy and have to purchase this device?! This all comes at the expense of the driver..... How would you feel if your employer did this to you.... AND ACTUALLY MADE IT MANDATORY TO USE IT OR LOSE YOUR JOB?! This is whats happening.... there are no laws on this... just a good ole govt study that has sold MANY CPAP machines and put alot of drivers out of work. This is govt. interference at its worst. The cost of the testing and machines are the burden of the driver.
