Our federal government spends BILLIONS annually (according to the National Center for Charitable Statistics) to fully fund or subsidize nonprofit groups... many of which are faith-based organizations. The government should not be in the business of funding groups/causes that could be funded by the communities and people they serve. Nor should it be funding churches disguised as nonprofit faith-based organizations... simply because their outreaches address community needs. This is a violation of the Constitution's 1st Amendment, separating church and state. But it has become a common practice for churches to receive federal funds in this manner. And it all needs to stop! Churches and other nonprofit groups should be supported by the people... not the government! Stop funding nonprofits NOW!
