Child soldiers are recruited not only by terrorist groups such as the Taliban but also by national armies. Organizations such as the United Nations have little control over terror groups but they do have jurisdiction over many countries that use children in their national armies.There are countries and groups who promote the use of children as soldiers, especially in underdeveloped countries. They believe that the army is a way to escape the toils of a life spent in poverty and famine. While this may be a somewhat valid statement these people do not realize that many of these children are drawn in under false impressions that they will be provided with a source of income as well as protection. This has to stop; We have to stop it now.
