Dear America, can you truly call yourself a democratic state while continuing to fund a dictatorship that massacres its own people? How do you feel knowing your taxpayer money funded the bullets that killed hundreds? Or the chains that imprison thousands? The Ethiopian government is using brute military force to kill, torture and imprison thousands of peaceful protestors mainly in the Oromia region for standing up to protect land that was rightfully theirs - yet the US continues to give the tyrannical Ethiopian government hundreds of millions in aid to continue their senseless slaughter. Congress must act now and cut all non humanitarian aid to the Ethiopian regime until the State Department reassesses U.S. foreign policy in light of the prevailing blatant human rights abuses.
